Team History (Coming Soon)

The Shaker Heights High School Hockey Alumni are currently putting together historical information to share!

In the meantime, please enjoy this picture of the 1970-71 Red Raiders, which was Shaker’s first high hockey team in modern history. The photograph was taken in Thornton Park prior to their first game at Garfield Heights on December 3, 1970. Note the Boston Bruin jerseys, which were the same jerseys worn during the inaugural game. The familiar red and white uniforms were not ready until later in the season.

Photo by Marvin “Dutch” Schultz, (Shaker class of 1938). Picture provided by his son, D.J. Schultz (Shaker class of 1973)—kneeling in front row, second from the left.
